GPS measurements

Global positioning system (GPS) is a satellite navigation system for the determination of (absolute) position in real time or near the surface of the Earth with an accuracy of the order of several meters.

By GPS measurements to determine the location of a ground point. From the viewpoint of the specialist, this means that measuring spatial coordinates in a geocentric coordinate system. GPS measurements reflect the process of coordinate definitions with GPS receivers.

Geoengineering offers the following services in the field of GPS measurements :

  • measurement of geodetic networks for the cadastre
  • establishment of transformation parameters for the transition from one coordinate system to another
  • engineering geodetic measurements (roads, creating a digital model of relief, tracing the area and line objects)
  • determining the control points necessary for the production of ortophoto plans
  • geodetic measurements with GPS receivers and processing results
